Attendance Codes

When receiving Letter or Attendance Detail Sheets, you may see a number of "Letter" codes recorded. The following is a key for these codes:

X = Unexcused Late Arrival (after 7:30am)

T= Excused Late Arrival (by Dr. Note)

Y= Unexcused Leave Early (before 2:15pm)

L= Excused Leave Early (by Dr. Note or other Welfare documentation)

U= Unexcused Absence (no excuse documentation provided)

E= Excused Absence (by Dr. Note or other Welfare documentation)

O=Out-Of-School Suspension

On Progress Reports and Report Cards, in the Quarterly "Attendance" area, the student attendance record count is shown as follows:

Present - number of days student has attended school

Excused - number of days Absent that have been excused

Unexcused - number of days Absent that have NOT been excused

Tardy - a "total" count of all days Late and Leave Early, both excused and unexcused.
