Bachelor's in Elementary Education from State University System of New York at Geneseo

2006 to 2016: First grade teacher at Nocatee Elementary School

2016: Second grade teacher at Nocatee Elementary School

Previously I worked for many years as a paraprofessional in kindergarten and preschool, and then as an elementary art teacher assistant.

I also have experience in the animal science field as a veterinarian technician, pet shop manager, and dog groomer.

I am a second grade teacher at Nocatee Elementary School. This is my thirteenth year of teaching, and all of them but one have been here at Nocatee.

I went back to college later in life (when my own two children were also in college) to become a teacher, and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2004. I also have an Associate Degree in Animal Science from SUNY Cobleskill.

In 2006 I moved to Florida from New Hampshire, and currently reside in Port Charlotte. I do miss the change of seasons (fall especially) and snow, but have enjoyed experiencing life in a tropical place. Beaches are one of my favorite places to be, so living on the Gulf Coast of Florida has been perfect.

I enjoy teaching; it's rewarding to inspire students to wonder and learn about things, and to see them grow.
